Dispute
Resolution

Something went wrong with a transaction? Our escrow system and dispute process are designed to protect both buyers and sellers.

How the dispute process works

01

Open a Dispute

Go to your transaction history, find the relevant order, and click "Open Dispute". You must do this within 48 hours of the seller marking the transfer as complete.

02

Submit Your Evidence

Describe the issue clearly and attach supporting evidence — screenshots, screen recordings, or any communication with the seller. The more detail you provide, the faster we can resolve your case.

03

Seller Responds

The seller has 48 hours to respond and submit their own evidence. Our team reviews both sides of the case impartially. Escrow funds remain frozen throughout this process.

04

TopAccounts Reviews

Our dispute team reviews all submitted evidence within 3–5 business days. We may contact either party for additional information.

05

Decision & Resolution

We issue a binding decision: a full refund to the buyer, release of funds to the seller, or a negotiated partial resolution. All parties are notified immediately.

Valid grounds for a dispute

Disputes can only be opened for specific reasons. Buyer's remorse or personal preference are not valid grounds.

Account not delivered

The seller did not transfer the account within the agreed timeframe.

Misrepresented listing

The account delivered does not match the listing (followers, features, platform, etc.).

Inaccessible account

The account credentials provided do not work or the account is locked/banned at delivery.

Ownership dispute

The seller did not have legitimate ownership of the account at the time of sale.

Fraudulent activity

Evidence of fraud, impersonation, or deliberate misrepresentation by either party.

Transfer incomplete

The seller only partially transferred access (e.g., email recovery not changed).

Common questions

How long do I have to open a dispute?

You have 48 hours from the time the seller marks the transfer as complete. After that window, funds are automatically released to the seller and disputes can no longer be opened for that transaction.

Can I open a dispute after confirming receipt?

No. Confirming receipt signals that you are satisfied with the transaction and releases escrow funds to the seller. This action is final. Please inspect the account thoroughly before confirming.

What happens to my funds during a dispute?

Your funds remain frozen in AccVault Escrow for the entire duration of the dispute. They are not accessible to the seller until a resolution is reached.

Can I appeal a dispute decision?

If you believe a material error was made in the review process, you may submit an appeal within 72 hours of the decision. Appeals must include new evidence not previously submitted. Appeals are reviewed by a senior member of our team.

What if the seller is unresponsive?

If the seller does not respond within 48 hours, TopAccounts will automatically rule in the buyer's favor and issue a full refund.
