We protect every buyer through escrow. Here's exactly how refunds work and when you're covered.

1. Overview
TopAccounts operates an escrow-protected marketplace. Because funds are held until the buyer confirms a successful transfer, our refund process is designed to resolve issues before funds are ever released to the seller. This policy outlines the conditions under which a refund may be issued.
2. Escrow Protection
When you purchase an account on TopAccounts, your payment is held in AccVault Escrow and not released to the seller until you confirm the transfer is complete and accurate. This means that in most cases, disputes can be resolved before any money changes hands. You have 48 hours from the time the seller marks the transfer complete to inspect the account and raise any concerns.
3. Eligible Refund Circumstances
A full refund may be issued if: (a) the seller fails to transfer the account within the agreed timeframe; (b) the account delivered does not match the listing description in a material way (e.g., incorrect follower count, missing monetization features, or different platform); (c) the account is inaccessible or banned at the time of delivery; or (d) the seller is found to have misrepresented ownership of the account.
4. Non-Refundable Circumstances
Refunds will not be issued in the following situations: (a) the buyer confirmed receipt and later changed their mind; (b) the account was suspended or banned after the buyer confirmed the transfer and took ownership; (c) the buyer violated the terms of the underlying platform after receiving the account; (d) the buyer provided incorrect information that prevented successful transfer; or (e) the 48-hour inspection window has passed without a dispute being raised.
5. How to Open a Dispute
To request a refund, open a dispute from your TopAccounts dashboard within 48 hours of the seller marking the transfer complete. Provide a clear description of the issue and any supporting evidence (screenshots, error messages, etc.). TopAccounts will review both parties' submissions and issue a decision within 3–5 business days.
6. Partial Refunds
In cases where the account was partially as described, TopAccounts may issue a partial refund at our discretion. For example, if a listed feature is missing but the account is otherwise functional and as described, we may negotiate a price adjustment between buyer and seller.
7. Service Fees
TopAccounts service fees are non-refundable except in cases where the transaction is cancelled due to seller non-performance before any transfer attempt is made. Payment processing fees charged by third-party providers are non-refundable under any circumstances.
8. Refund Processing Time
Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method. Processing times vary by payment provider: credit and debit card refunds typically take 5–10 business days; cryptocurrency refunds are processed within 1–3 business days at current market rates; other payment methods may take up to 14 business days.
9. Chargebacks
Filing a chargeback with your bank or payment provider while a Platform dispute is active is a violation of our Terms of Service and may result in permanent account suspension. We encourage you to resolve issues through our dispute process first. If you have an unresolved dispute and believe a chargeback is warranted, please contact our support team before initiating one.
10. Changes to This Policy
TopAccounts reserves the right to update this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting. For transactions completed before a policy change, the policy in effect at the time of purchase applies.
